Way back in the last century, I got my start as a copywriter working on staff at advertising agencies around the Pacific Northwest and Minneapolis. Today, even though I work independently as a creative consultant, a lot of what I do still comes down to finding the right words and using them to shape a brand, spotlight a competitive advantage or compel someone to action. Sometimes that takes shape as a good, old-fashioned print ad or video/audio script. But these days, more often than not it’s digital.
