CURRENT PROJECTS:  God

npt_signSM.jpgNOVEMBER 10, 2006:
For a long time now, I've said there's no organization in America with: (1) a more important message and (2) who's dropping the ball in a bigger way than the Christian church.
From embarrassing sex scandals to ridiculous eye makeup to bad marketing, God's people could do a much better job showing the rest of the world what he's all about.
There are signs of hope. For example, Mars Hill Church here in Seattle has quickly grown to the largest church in the city (a city which -- as they say -- has more dogs than Christians) thanks to a no-nonsense doctrine, often humorous sermons by pastor Mark Driscoll and -- gasp -- great design.
In an effort to help on a much smaller scale, I frequently frequently take on stuff pro-bono for my church. Especially around Christmas time.
This year, for example, we're doing a direct mail piece to members of our community inviting them to our Christmas Eve service. Other projects like directional signage, etc. have been ongoing over the years.
